Courtney Gendron is a lead HSE consultant with WSP’s Mining and Metals business, based in Sudbury, Ontario. She brings eight years of experience supporting the mining industry through the management of occupational health hazards.   

She is committed to applying evidence-based strategies to identify, evaluate, and control workplace hazards. Through her work, she helps organizations advance occupational hygiene standards and promote the long-term health and safety of workers within the Canadian mining sector. She currently serves as chair of the Mining Working Group with the American Industrial Hygiene Association, providing leadership in advancing best practices and promoting knowledge sharing to protect worker health within the global mining industry.  

She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Occupational and Environmental Health and is a certified industrial hygienist.
