The Sudbury operations have been active for over 140 years, with mining commencing at the Totten Mine back in 1883.​ ​Totten is an underground Mine, started mining in 1883, and re-opened in 2014 after being on care and maintenance since the mid-1970s.​ ​The deepest current mining level is 4,800 feet.​
