Florent Baril is a metallurgical engineer graduated in 1954 at Laval University.

He is the president of BUMIGEME Inc., an engineering consulting firm based in Montreal, operating mainly in the areas of mining, metallurgy and geology founded in 1994.  In his long career he has contributed to the formation of several engineers in mining field. He has 35 years of experience in the development of minerallurgical processes for the extraction of base and precious metals and as manager in charge of concentrators and mining operations. He also has forty years of experience as consultant in the preparation of feasibility studies of mining project especially in the conception and construction of concentrators in Canada and in several countries around the world.
