Rainy River is an open-pit gold mine mid-transition to underground operations approximately 40 miles northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada near the Minnesota border. Since achieving commercial production in 2017, Rainy River has produced hundreds of thousands of ounces of gold annually and supports a skilled, primarily local workforce.

Rainy River is transitioning from open-pit mining to underground production. The Intrepid Zone and underground Main Zone have driven extended mine life and unlocked additional value beyond the open-pit phase. Exploration work both near-mine and on the broader land package is ongoing with the goal of further extending the mine life.

A strong safety culture, combined with workforce development and training, supports both current operations and the skills needed for the transition to underground mining.
