Introducing Catherine Jean
CIM is pleased to welcome Catherine Jean as its new Director of Member Engagement and Partnerships.
Catherine brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in member engagement, marketing and communications, business development, strategic partnerships, operations and member experience within professional services and member-based organizations.
In her role, Catherine will help strengthen how CIM engages with its members, partners and broader industry community, with a focus on building meaningful experiences, growing strategic relationships and aligning membership initiatives with a cohesive and engaging member experience.
Catherine’s approach stands out for her ability to design high-value member experiences, identify new business and partnership opportunities, and turn engagement into sustained growth, including member recruitment, retention and satisfaction.
At ZSA Legal Recruitment, she built and grew the Quorum Club, an exclusive network connecting in-house counsel across the country, positioning the firm as a leading voice within Canada’s legal community. She also led the Canadian General Counsel Awards, a flagship event celebrating excellence among Canadian in-house counsel, helping strengthen ZSA’s visibility and reputation among legal decision-makers nationwide.
Known for her ability to mobilize dynamic and diverse teams, Catherine also led an operations team at Stikeman Elliott and held leadership roles at KPMG Canada, Langlois Lawyers and Lavery Lawyers.
Catherine holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from the Université du Québec à Montréal and completed the MBA Essentials intensive program at HEC Montréal.
