CIM welcomes Candace MacGibbon to CIM Council

The Canadian Institute of Mining Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Candace MacGibbon, as the Incoming President-Elect for 2025-2026. In this dynamic role, Ms. MacGibbon will work closely with the President and President-Elect to provide direction to CIM, ensuring it continues to be the leading not-for-profit technical society of professionals in the Canadian minerals, metals, materials, and energy industries. 

Ms. MacGibbon will assume the role of CIM president in May 2025, following Ian Pearce (2024-2025) and Michael Cinnamond (2023-2024). 

Candace MacGibbon, CA, CPA, ICD.D, was CEO of INV Metals Inc. until its acquisition by Dundee Precious Metals Corp. in 2021, and holds various board positions, including Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd., Carbon Streaming Corp., and several not-for-profit volunteer boards. She also actively supports the resource and energy industries through conference presentations, media interviews, and published articles. 

Ms. MacGibbon's executive experience, financial expertise, and vision for the resource and energy industries align with CIM's mission and values. Her unique perspective and experience will strengthen the work CIM does to connect with, and support, the prosperity of the entire mining community.
