2012 Recipient

The CIM New Brunswick Scholarship Committee has selected Emily Bartlett, from Fredericton, NB as the recipient of the 2012 Rory Kempster Memorial Earth Science Scholarship. Emily is a 5th year geological engineering student in the Earth Sciences Department at the University of New Brunswick—Fredericton. While in university, she has been active with the Geological Engineering Society and Junior Achievement. This past spring, she studied in Tasmania, Australia. Her goal is to work on geotechnical engineering projects in underdeveloped countries where engineering and environmental knowledge could make “life-changing differences.”

The 2012 Scholarship Committee consisted of M. Coleman (Mine Reclamation Inc.), B. Rose (Xstrata Zinc) and P. Rennick (NB Department of Natural Resources).
