Coleman Mine started production in 1970 and has been a key producer of copper and nickel in the Sudbury Basin. Coleman currently mines one large nickel ore body, and two high grade copper vein orebodies utilizing a variety of mining methods. The mine also utilizes the largest Kiruna trolley electric truck fleet in the world. Coleman Mine employs over 500 permanent employees, along with various contractors and is the proud winner of the Regional John T Ryan award for 2022 for the first time in its history.
