Wolfgang Stoeterau Memorial Scholarship (aka C.I.M.M. Saskatoon Section, Geology Division Scholarship)

N/A Awarded to a graduate student (M.Sc. or PhD candidate) in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan whose research is relevant to the resource industry in Saskatchewan, with a preference to the mining industry. Preference is also given to students working on Saskatchewan-based projects. Although there is no formal application process, students under consideration for the award may be contacted for CVs. As selected by the faculty contact in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University and Saskatchewan, and approved by the department head. The selected individual has to give a presentation on their research to the C.I.M.M Saskatoon Section,Geology Division at one of their lunchtime meetings. No formal application procedures. CIM Saskatoon Branch Dependent Children and Student Member Scholarship Program

February 7 Open to student members, Indigenous students, and dependent children of professional members of the CIM Saskatoon Branch enrolled in a 2-year(+) Program leading to formal qualification from a recognized post-secondary educational institute institute (graduate student members are eligible to apply once; students on internships not eligible). Recipients must attend the CIM Saskatoon Branch meeting in March 2018 to receive the scholarship. Undergraduate students may only receive this award once every two years. Student members must have attended at least three CIM Saskatoon meetings between September 2018 and January 2019. See CIM Saskatoon Branch website for application.
