Canadian Museum of Nature unveils minerals exhibition

Canadian Museum of Nature

The Canadian Museum of Nature has launched a new travelling exhibition showcasing the diversity of the earth’s minerals and their applications in everyday life. The show comprises around 90 specimens that vary in size, shape and colour, all drawn from the museum’s national mineral collection. The exhibition runs until April 6, 2015, after which it will shipped and adapted to exhibit spaces in other museums, science centres and other educational sites across Canada. The Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory in Ontario will be the first venue on the national tour, showing the exhibition from May to September 2015. The exhibition is presented by Barrick Gold Corporation and supported by the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame.
