How can I get involved?

CIMVolunteer

CIM is a multi-faceted institute but at our core, we are a community of professionals looking to build relationships, set best practices, share knowledge, advance our careers, and support one another to ensure a prosperous industry. The knowledge, experience and skills you bring to CIM as a volunteer will help us to help our members achieve their goals.

Become a Mentor

The CIM Mentorship Program connects seasoned industry professionals with students and recent graduates. Over the course of one year, mentors and mentees set the parameters of their meetings, discuss challenges and opportunities and work toward their goals.

Join CIM Societies

Our Societies are instrumental in helping professionals build their knowledge and expertise through the various conferences, publications, workshops, awards and scholarships, making them integral to CIM.

CIM National members are able to choose one or more of eleven societies with which to affiliate.

Join a CIM Branch

Involvement at the Branch level helps to strengthen local networks, improve technical skills and contribute to the community. Branches also raise industry awareness for the public at large and give back to their local communities.

Join a CIM Committee

CIM has a number of standing and ad hoc committees that play a vital advisory role to the CIM Council. Through their leadership efforts, guidelines, publications and events, these committees not only impact CIM members but also the greater mining communities in Canada and internationally.
