The CIM Edmonton Branch is offering student awards in the form of bursaries to help subsidize the cost of attending conferences. Students will be given a two-week window to apply for the awards. Individual awards will be between $500 and $1,000, for a total funding amount of $4,000.
Students will be selected based on their connection to the mining industry, participation in CIM Edmonton events, and the relevance and value of attending their selected conference.
The awards are open to students at any Northern Alberta post secondary institution and from any academic department, as long as there is a connection to the mining industry.
Once the award winners are selected, the winners will be asked to provide their banking information for payment, along with confirmation of the approved award amounts.
The application form for this season will be open until February 19. Winners will be announced at the February 26th Innovation & Research Event.
