William McNeil was the Senior Mining Engineer for Scotiabank up to his retirement in January 2016. He has been active in the mining industry for over 40 years with Falconbridge Nickel Mines Limited, Amax Inc., Strathcona Mineral Services Limited, and Scotiabank. His operations experience includes being the Mine Manager at the Nanisivik lead-zinc underground operation with responsibility for all on-site operations, and at the Sudbury Operations for Falconbridge. He also has engineering and project experience at Izok Lake, Canada Tungsten, Kitsault, Mactung, Logtung, and at the Selebi-Pikwe underground nickel operations in Botswana.

While with Scotiabank, McNeil reviewed and was involved in several bank financings over 20 years. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corporation on May 28, 2015.
