Stacy Kennedy is a pioneering leader in Manitoba's mining industry. As the first female president of the Mining Association of Manitoba (MAMI), she is a trailblazer. Currently serving as the director of Manitoba operations at Vale Base Metals, Stacy is known for her commitment to operational excellence and inclusivity. She has spearheaded initiatives like the Miners in Training (MinT) Program, which provides hands-on training and mentorship for women and underrepresented individuals in mining. Stacy's commitment to advancing the role of women and Indigenous people in mining is unwavering. Her innovative thinking has driven impactful change, such as her involvement and leadership in the Uncover Prosperity-MB campaign to promote sustainable mining practices and her position on the Premiers Business and Jobs council. As testified by many, as mentor and leader, she has opened doors for others, advocating for female and culturally diverse membership in mine rescue operations, leading to notable successes.
