Eric Kohtakangas is the senior executive vice president and director of Cementation Canada Inc., with 40 years of experience in mine contracting and engineering. He played a key role in reintroducing the Cementation Group to North America in 1998. Eric leads Indigenous partnerships and oversees site management, complex underground projects, and the growth of Cementation’s Canadian and international operations. His commitment to the mining industry and education is evident through his roles as governor and chair on Cambrian College’s Board of Governors, member of its Mining Program Advisory Committee, and contributor to miner training initiatives. He serves on the Steering Committee for MiHR’s Mining Essentials program and supported B.C.’s Center for Training Excellence in Mining Underground Miner Training Program. Eric has built lasting partnerships with Indigenous communities across Canada while championing education and workforce development.
