Charles Graham holds a degree in mining engineering from Queen’s University. He worked in operations and maintenance for the Iron Ore Company of Canada in Schefferville and Labrador City, then went to the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Mining Health and Safety Branch and subsequently CANMET. Since 1987, Graham has been Managing Director of CAMIRO Mining Division, industry’s collaborative mining research organization running such programs as the Deep Mining Research Consortium.

Graham has authored and co-authored several papers presented at CIM, MEMO and abroad. He chaired the Sudbury Mining Heritage Committee, was a board member of NORCAT, MIRARCO and Collège Boréal’s Mining and Civil Engineering Program. He has been Secretary to the Underground Mining Society (Metal Mining Society) since 2005. He is a member of Professional Engineers Ontario, a life member of CIM and a CIM Fellow.
