Chad Sorba, P. Geo, is vice president, technical services & project evaluation at Denison Mines, bringing nearly two decades of experience in uranium exploration, evaluation, and development. Joining Denison in 2008 as lead geologist, he played a key role in the discovery of Phoenix, which is an exceptionally high-grade uranium deposit on track to become the next new uranium mine in Canada.
Throughout his tenure with Denison, Chad has led the advancement of the company’s flagship Wheeler River project and evaluated numerous uranium projects, supporting key asset acquisitions. A technical leader driving Denison’s pioneering of the use of in-situ recovery (ISR) mining in Saskatchewan, he helped design and implement a first-of-its-kind ISR feasibility field test at Phoenix.
Chad holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Geological Sciences from the University of Saskatchewan and is registered with APEGS and CIM. He also serves as Denison’s qualified person (QP) under NI 43-101 standards.
