The McArthur River mine site is located in northern Saskatchewan on the southeastern portion of the Athabasca Basin, approximately 620 km north of Saskatoon. It is an underground uranium mine that contains the world’s largest known high grade uranium deposit. The mine site is compact, occupying a surface area of approximately one square kilometre.
