Ben Scott is the operations manager – engineering at B2Gold’s Goose Lake Mine in Nunavut, Canada, where he leads mining operations and project development teams. With over 14 years of global experience in mining and heavy industrial construction, Ben specializes in project planning, mine development, and socio-economic partnerships. He is a member of the Inuit Impact Benefit Agreement (IIBA) Implementation Committee for the Goose Lake Mine.
Ben played a key role in the successful Fekola Mine construction, overseeing critical geotechnical and hydrogeological projects, including the tailings facility and pit dewatering bore field. He later managed the New Fadougou Village Construction project. He also developed B2Gold’s first Tailings Management Procedure, which is now a key part of the company's global operations. He continues to offer guidance on global tailings management practices.
Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University.
