The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) has released new Leading Practice Guidelines for documenting diamond exploration results, resources, and reserves, specifically for primary deposits.

These new guidelines, from the Mineral Resources & Mineral Reserves Society of CIM (MRMRS), supersede the 2003 and 2008 versions to improve the robustness and transparency of the evaluation process, particularly regarding diamond pricing reflecting changes that have occurred in the diamond industry in Canada and other regions since 2003.
