Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee

CIM’s Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee was officially appointed by CIM Council in September 2013 to explore what we, as a highly respected institute, could do to support diversity in our industry. The purpose of DIAC is to encourage diversity and inclusion within CIM and the mining industry at large, with diversity being broadly defined. DIAC is working to meet this goal through objectives that include the encouragement of increased diversity and inclusion within the broader CIM organization (including staff, branches, societies, committees, Council and the executive), provide guidance to the CIM executive and Council on all things related to diversity and inclusion, and assist CIM in linking the messages around the business case to the industry through its publications, electronic communications and conference and outreach programs.
