Located in Sudbury, Ontario, Science North is Canada’s second-largest science centre, and delivers exciting educational experiences to over 250,000 students and visitors annually. This includes Dynamic Earth, home of the Big Nickel, which houses a full interactive underground mining tour. Science North has worked with the minerals and metals industry over the years on various programs and exhibits to promote the sector, making them quite distinctive.
They are also exceptional in that they develop, sell and lease travelling exhibitions, multimedia theatres and custom exhibits to science centres, museums and other groups worldwide. They are Canada’s largest exporter of travelling exhibitions. To date, Science North has created 13 travelling exhibitions that have been experienced by more than 14 million people around the world. The travelling exhibitions they create are based on research and strong technical support with a keen focus on the visitor experience. The exhibits are evaluated using a robust learning behaviours framework to ensure they have a meaningful impact on visitors.
