Randy Smallwood is a Non-Executive Chair of the Board of Directors of Wheaton Precious Metals, having previously served as the company’s president and CEO. A founding member of Wheaton, he has been a driving force behind its growth into one of the world’s largest precious metals streaming companies. In his role as Board Chair, effective March 31, 2026, Mr. Smallwood provides leadership continuity and ensures alignment with the Company’s long-term strategic vision.

His background in geological and mine engineering, coupled with decades of executive leadership experience, equips Smallwood with a deep understanding of the mining life cycle and the complexities of responsible resource development. He also served as Chair of the World Gold Council from 2020 to 2023, contributing global insights to the industry.

His vision for CIM includes driving collaboration, supporting technical excellence, and fostering a culture of learning and innovation — all critical in navigating the challenges and opportunities facing the industry today, including the energy transition and digital transformation.
