Mark has worked with a number of teams throughout Canada and the USA to build both greenfield and brownfield mines in hardrock and softrock.
He graduated as a Geological Engineer from the University of Waterloo in 1987 and received his MBA from Wilfred Laurier in 1999. He added to his portfolio by recently achieving his PMP certification.
Mark started his softrock career as a Rock Mechanic Engineer in potash in New Brunswick followed by a stint in Saskatchewan, Goderich, Louisana, South Dakota and finally participating in the design and construction of a salt mine in New York state. He started his hardrock career 10 years ago in Sudbury and has been involved with KGHMI in its various forms in a number of roles. Currently, he is the Manager of Technical Services for the Victoria Project where he is involved in establishing the Project Management Plan and Project Team.
He embraces and passionately spreads the culture of Courageous Leadership and Zero Harm in mining and everyday life.
Mark, Carol and their two boys have called Sudbury home for the past 10 years, enjoying the numerous activities, sports, restaurants and entertainment that Sudbury has to offer. They have recently purchased a home on Makada Lake and are looking forward to hosting friends and family.
