Temperature Gradients in Ontario and Quebec

IT WAS shown by work previously reported (1) that reliable geothermal gradients representative of various regions of the earth's, surface could he obtained from extended surveys of the rock temperatures in operating mines. ,These surveys showed the presence of anomalies in the isothermal levels and the existence of regions of regular behaviour.
