CIM Bulletin1940
RICE LAKE-BERESFORD LAKE area, situated 100 miles northeast of Winnipeg (Figure 1) , is Manitoba's foremost gold mining district, although it is exceeded in gold production in the Province by the Flin Flon base-metal mining district. At present, the area is producing at the rate of about one and three-quarter million dollars annually, almost entirely from the San Antonio and Gunnar mines.
