King Mine No. 3 Shaft and Equipment

CIM Bulletin1939
IN the paper entitled Block Caving at the King Mine (1) , which was presented at the Annual General Meeting held in April, 1934, at Quebec, it was pointed out that, owing to certain conditions and financial restrictions, it was advisable to provide a temporary shaft. This was raised from the 500-ft. level to the bottom of the pit, and a 45-degree incline track was constructed up the face of the pit to surface.
