Stone Dusting

PRACTICALLY all dusts derived from organic matter are explosive and instances are recorded of explosions- some of them extremely violent-having occurred in grain elevators and flour mills. While a discussion of the explosibility of dusts in general, doubtless, would be of more than academic value, it will be of greater interest, on this occasion, to consider various phases of the problems connected with the hazards arising from coal dust.
