Copper 2016: call for abstracts still open


Copper 2016 logoThe ninth international conference part of the Copper Cobre series is co-organized by the Metallurgy and Materials Society of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (MetSoc-CIM), the Mining and Materials Processing Institute of Japan (MMIJ), the Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS), GDMB society of metallurgists and miners, the Chilean Institute of Mining Engineers(IIMch) and Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME). Taking place in Kobe, Japan on Nov. 13-16, 2016, Copper 2016 will set the stage for the upcoming Copper 2019 series in Canada and provide a prospect of the copper industry in the 21st century. Topics are widely chosen from mining, extractive metallurgy, recycling, environmental, economy, among others. Discussions will focus on the secured supply chain of copper, the essential material for human life, and the copper industry’s contribution to the sustainable development of the global economy and the environment.
