MEMO 2011 theme is "Back to basics" and is intended highlight the lessons learned from weathering the recurring boom-bust-boom cycle that mining continually experiences and then using these lessons learned as a solid foundation for technological, economic and social innovation in building a sustainable future.
Important dates are:
- Abstract submission deadline – Extended to May 16, 2011
- Authors notification of acceptance – May 20, 2011
- Final papers must be received by - July 22, 2011

The conference is directed to and a broad cross section of people associated with the mining industry from senior executives and managers to practitioners, operators and academics who are all encouraged to share practical approaches, experience, expertise and innovation to strengthen the sustainability of our industry in these ever changing times.
