CIM is the voice of the men and women who work in the Canadian minerals industries. Since its founding in 1898, CIM has grown to span the country and to become the association of choice for minerals professionals.

Today, CIM has six Districts and numerous specialized Societies, Divisions and Committees. Total national membership exceeds 12,000. In addition, CIM has more than 200 corporate members and thousands of local members in 60 branches. Ten percent of CIM's total membership is based overseas.

CIM represents executives, operations specialists and technical personnel and corporations at every level of the minerals and petroleum industries.
