Torex is a growth-oriented, Canadian-based resource company engaged in the exploration and development of its 100% owned Morelos Gold Property, an area of 29,000 hectares in the highly prospective Guerrero Gold Belt located 180 kilometers southwest of Mexico City. Within this property, Torex has two projects: the El Limon-Guajes Project, currently under development, and the Media Luna Project, at an advanced stage of exploration. Mr. Stanford is a highly qualified mining executive with 30-years experience in the mining industry. Mr. Stanford started his career at Inco Limited in 1981 as a software designer and then moved into operations management as an underground mine foreman. He progressed through increasingly senior roles in mines operations, processing plant operations, engineering, EHS, human resources, and production services operations. In 2006 he was appointed to the role of President of Vale Inco's Ontario Operations, a position he held until June of 2009. Mr. Stanford was appointed President and CEO of Torex Gold in November, 2009. He has assembled a management team with a mandate to bring the Morelos Gold Project in Mexico through the latter stages of development and into production and to maximize value through the discovery of new deposits.
