An Economic and Market Outlook for 2016“What’s in store for Canada and Commodities (especially Gold) in this Deflationary Environment”
Ryan Lewenza, SVP, Private Client Strategist and Portfolio Manager of Raymond James Ltd
Ryan Lewenza will discuss his economic outlook for the global economy and how he expects it to impact Canada, the USA and the rest of the world. With the recent strength in the US dollar and half-speed global economic growth, this is having a significant impact on oil, gold and commodities, which Ryan will address in his presentation. In this low interest rate environment, Ryan will discuss his asset allocation recommendations. Ryan uses a fundamental approach (valuations, earnings, balance sheets) to forecast how the S&P/TSX will perform in 2016. He will also touch on why he prefers cyclical stocks over defensives over the next year or two, and give us his secular view of the markets over the next 5-10 years.
