Stephen was also Executive Vice President at Miramar Mining Corporation, where he was responsible for exploration, business development and investor relations for 18 years, including the world class Hope Bay gold project, and played a similar role at Northern Orion Explorations Ltd., which owned the Agua Rica copper-gold-molybdenum project in Argentina. He is a graduate of the Royal School of Mines, London, with a B.Sc. (Honours) in Mining Geology.

John Chisholm spent his career at Nova Construction Co. Ltd., a firm founded by his father. A major Nova Scotia construction and resource development company, Nova Construction is committed to aggressive occupational health and safety and environmental protection programs.
Before leaving Nova Construction, John built a relationship of trust and commitment with a variety of clients in Eastern Canada. His achievements have been based on management capability, business integrity and reliable service. He is proud of the accomplishments of the Nova Construction group and is confident in their ability to successfully meet new challenges in the years to come. The company employs between 150 and 350 employees.
In 1998, John was awarded the Mining Society Medal, the Mining Society of Nova Scotia's highest award.
