Water management is one of the top priority issues for the minerals industry worldwide. Mining uses a lot of water, and responsible mine water management is critical for positive environmental, economic, and social outcomes of any mining operation. This has become even more important as water quality regulations become increasingly stringent and climate change science predicts increasing severity of droughts and storm events. This talk will discuss the main uses of water in mining and some responsible and creative solutions to managing your water.
