CIM’s Lima Branch to host innovation conference


The Lima, Peru CIM Branch will host the “Innovations in Mining 2013” conference at the Marriott Hotel Lima from November 29 to 30. The conference will examine ways to cut costs, increase efficiency and store cash for future acquisitions or capital outlays, which in turn will boost shareholder value.

Distinguished speakers, presenters and panelists will include CIM International VP Nathan Stubina and Lima, Peru CIM Branch chair Bertrand De Windt, who is also CEO of StepsUp Consulting, as well as Guy Jackson, global director, health, safety and loss prevention, Newmont Mining Corporation.

Representatives from leading mining companies like Rio Tinto and Anglo American will be present as well.
