Timely topics, quality program and exceptional networking make the CIM Conference a "must attend" event for mining people in Canada! - Montreal 2011 Delegate
The 2011 CIM Conference & Exhibition was one of the best meetings I attended. The technical program was excellent. In this event, we had the opportunity to see how wealthy and vibrant is the Canadian mining industry. - Montreal 2011 Delegate
As a student attending the CIM Conference for the very first time, it was a huge eye opener and tons of fun! There were more than enough booths at the exhibition to check out and learn about technologies currently used in the industry. The conference also has specific events (e.g. Student Roundtable Discussion, Student Industry Luncheon) built to connect students with current people in the industry! It almost felt like there was an infinite amount of people to meet and learn about what's happening in their careers and what brought them into the mining industry. Looking forward to attending CIM in 2012! - Montreal 2011 Delegate
The Women in Mining forum was very exciting for me. It was well attended, and included speakers from many different sectors and locations, who were each passionate about their roles in the mining industry. There was a positive attitude about encouraging each other to get ahead in the mining business. The interactions were open and energetic. I was really encouraged. - Montreal 2011 Delegate
As a reporter involved in mining activities in a remote region of the country, the conference was a good overview of current successes and challenges, with a very high degree of technical ability from the speakers at all sessions I attended. A true learning experience which provided material to send back to my papers and put a shining light on our Canadians working here and abroad. - Montreal 2011 Delegate
Meeting experienced and intelligent people in the mining industry gave me a true depth of exactly what goes on in developing a mine shaft for development of mining minerals. – Montreal 2011 Delegate
ICM 2011 has reinforced in me the certainty that in our profession, the real challenge is open to others, others ways of doing things, new products and other experiences. - Montreal 2011 Delegate
The organization was very excellent. I learned a lot of things at the trade show with lots of innovation. And last but not least, networking, meeting people. Neither facebook nor twitter can replace human eye contact. - Montreal 2011 Delegate
It is the best event in Canada to find out the latest developments in the Mining Industry and meet the people who are making it happen. - Montreal 2011 Delegate
I learned a great deal about surface gold mining in the Klondike that will be of benefit the clients I represent in helping to obtain environmental permits. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend this conference. It was one of the best planned and organized events that I have attended and had excellent sponsors. - Josée Bonhomme, Reporter, Fast-Track Land Management
As always, the CIM conference was a coming together of the different participants of the world's extraction industry. It is always staggering to realize all the interaction required to supply tomorrow’s metals and minerals. - Montreal 2011 Delegate
The event was my first CIM and hopefully not my last; the chance to meet with so many of the suppliers and others from the different operations face to face instead of on the phone or in cyber space was fantastic. I also enjoyed meeting so many of the people from our own company and having time to talk and get to know each other. I believe the experience has given me a huge increase in knowledge and extra tools in the chest to better do my job. Thank You CIM! - Montreal 2011 Delegate

What M4S visitors are saying
I learned a lot about mining industries, even some things that I never imagined do exist like cyber-mining, and I found it quite interesting. Through the public awareness program I have improved my interpersonal and communication skills, it was very engaging. – Montreal 2011 M4S Visitor
Your tradeshow generated a great deal of enthusiasm with our students and teachers. They loved the experience and talk about it for more than a week. These were curious children who wanted to learn more about mining. They were able to relate the show to their research program on minerals. Thank you for inviting us to this high quality show. It exceeded our expectations. – Yves Gauthier, Vice-Principal, Wilfrid-Pelletier School, CSPI, Anjou Borough
Our visit was a real delight for our students and teachers. It is unfortunate that we could not stay longer because of conflicting schedules and MELS evaluations. On behalf of all my colleagues and our students, I want to personally offer sincere thanks to you and your highly professional and efficient team. We benefited from this awesome, dynamic and appealing visit.
By the way, would it be possible to register right away if it organized again? :-) Seriously, I would like to be informed as soon as possible about the opening of the registration for next year when the time comes. Once again, everyone loved today's event. The students greatly enjoyed the rally, the experiences, the simulations, the prototypes, the variety of booths, etc.
Thanks again for everything and congratulations for the great organization and care about those small details that make such a difference! Have a great weekend. I look forward to talking with you and seeing you again next year! – Alexandre Routhier, one of the glad teachers, Marc-Aurèle-Fortin School
It is unfortunate that our visit of the show was so short! My students were very disappointed by the lack of time to visit all the booths. Your facilitators were excellent as well as the impeccable show organization!
We can't thank you enough for this highly appreciated visit which was informative and fun! If you organize this show again, I would love to bring my future students. I will prepare them a lot better for this huge event. – Diane Leblanc, 6th Grade Teacher, Lévis-Sauvé
