As a student attending the CIM Conference for the very first time, it was a huge eye opener and tons of fun! There were more than enough booths at the exhibition to check out and learn about technologies currently used in the industry. The conference also has specific events (e.g. Student Roundtable Discussion, Student Industry Luncheon) built to connect students with current people in the industry! It almost felt like there was an infinite amount of people to meet and learn about what's happening in their careers and what brought them into the mining industry. The Women in Mining forum was very exciting for me. It was well attended, and included speakers from many different sectors and locations, who were each passionate about their roles in the mining industry.
