Fifty Year Club - Origin
The Fifty-year Club, to which long-time members with a membership of fifty years can be elected as a mark of distinction, was inaugurated by CIM Council in 1958, to mark the Diamond Jubilee of CIM. A special gold Institute lapel pin and a suitably engraved scroll is presented to all such members on the occasion of their attaining this distinction.
Conditions
1. When reasonably possible, the recipient shall be expected to receive the award in person during the course of the Annual General Meeting of the Institute, following the announcement of the award, or at such a time or place as CIM Council may direct.
2. All nominees must be CIM National Members who have accumulated a continuous, uninterrupted membership of 50 years.
