Society for Rock Engineering - CIM Rock Mechanics Award
Each year, in addition to CIM (Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum) Awards, several awards are remitted to individuals by CIM's Societies and Divisions. They recognize individuals for their outstanding achievements and contributions to their respective fields and to the mining and minerals industries in general.
The Rock Mechanics Award is given to deserving candidates, members of the CIM, who have made significant and lasting contributions to research or applications in rock mechanics for the benefit of the Canadian mining industry. The award recipient is selected by the CIM Society for Rock Engineering.
