SOCIETIES Mining Society of Nova Scotia - Terms of Reference In 1918 the Mining Society of Nova Scotia (MSNS) agreed to an affiliation with the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM). Through this affiliation, members of the Mining Society are automatically members of CIM, at no extra cost in dues. Members are entitled to all of the benefits and privileges of both organizations.The Society’s operations are carried out by a council of members who volunteer their services and are elected by the membership on a yearly basis. |
