Published quarterly, the CIM Journal is the only CIM publication delivering peer-reviewed technical papers. Authors are encouraged and invited to submit scientific and engineering papers covering all facets of the mining and minerals industry, including, but not limited to geology, mining, processing, maintenance, environmental protection and reclamation, mineral economics, and project management.

The CIM Journal publishes papers in either English or French, with abstracts provided in both languages. Papers are printed in full-colour, thereby enhancing the legibility and utility of accompanying visuals.

The online paper submission process, with a portal on the CIM homepage makes the submission and review process simple, timely and efficient.
The paper submission and peer review processes are managed by CIM's Technical Publications Committee and National office editorial staff.
