In the last three decades, Mine Backfill Symposia have been held every four years. This international forum continues to be the leading technical gathering addressing issues concerning mining with backfilling as well as mine waste management, and is becoming a forum for the presentation, discussion and debate of the latest minefill design systems and their behaviour, as well as transportation matters.

It is my pleasure to announce that, under the auspices of The International Minefill Council, Minefill2007 will be held in Canada.

Minefill 2007 is a prestigious international symposium and exhibition, which is being held from April 29 to May 2, 2007 at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal. This conference will be the most exciting and innovative Minefill Symposium yet. The symposium will take place at the same time as one of the largest mining exhibitions in North America in that year. A special Minefill exhibition pavilion will insure that international manufacturers, engineers, consultants, operators and researchers in the mining industry will have an opportunity to discuss relevant issues relating to mine backfill practice.

A Sponsorship Program has been designed to provide sponsors with numerous options to meet their marketing and profiling priorities. Our website and brochure outline the general sponsorship levels and the many specific events and activities that are available for your consideration. Most of the specific event and activity sponsorships are very focused in terms of location, duration, audience and impact.

Benefits for General Sponsorships include a wide variety of visibility and networking elements that are tied to the different levels of support.

A detailed list of the components for general sponsorships can be provided on request. It is important to note that there are also customized sponsorship items for each level.

All Minefill2007 sponsors will be appropriately acknowledged at the conference with signage, announcements and in-conference print materials. Detailed descriptions of each opportunity level, including a full benefits list, are available upon request.

To register your interest or request further information concerning any sponsorship opportunity, please contact us at your earliest convenience.

We look forward to hearing from you and meeting your marketing needs through the Minefill2007 sponsorship program.

Sincerely yours,
Minefill2007 Sponsorship Committee
