Plenary Session

The Plenary Session will be moderated by Dan Lessard, former host of CBC’s Points North. In line with the conference theme of “Mining in the new economy,” each panelist will give a brief presentation on what they envision as the new mining industry that has emerged from the last downturn.

An open discussion will follow the presentations. Keynote speakers include:

• Candys Ballanger-Michaud, CEO, Workplace Safety North;
• Glenn Nolan, Vice-President, Aboriginal Affairs, Noront Resources Limited;
• Marc Boissonneault, Vice-President, Sudbury Operations, Xstrata Nickel and President, Ontario Mining Association.
