 MINING INVESTMENT FORUM |
 Taking place in the heart of Canada’s financial markets, the Mining Investment Forum will bring those that manage financial resources together with those that manage natural resources. It will provide the investing public an insight into how professional investors value resource stocks.
The forum will have four sequential segments, focusing on: Base metals, Oil sands, Precious metals and Diamonds. These sessions will include a panel discussion featuring leading Canadian portfolio managers, equity analysts, and mining industry executives, followed by a selected group of corporate presentations. Delegates attending the Mining Rocks! conference and the general public will have a unique opportunity to understand how professional analysts and portfolio managers differentiate their valuations of mining companies and commodities.
The Mining Investment Forum is the cornerstone of the Mining in Society Show, being held in conjunction with Mining Rocks! Canada’s Premier Mining Industry Conference and Exhibition.

The straight talk on diamonds
Richard Wake-Walker will be giving the scoop on the diamond industry during the Mining Investment Forum. His company, WWW International Diamond Consultants Ltd., provides independent valuation and advisory services related to the diamond industry. Wake-Walker worked at De Beers until 1994, having set up their first Moscow office, and was a key member of the sales department.

Embry talks gold
A key participant is none other than John Embry, president and portfolio manager, Sprott Asset Management. He joined SAM in March 2003, a $33 billion organization, and oversaw $5 billion in assets, including the flagship $2.9 billion Royal Canadian Equity Fund and the $250 million Royal Precious Metals Fund. |
