MINING AND EDUCATION AND CAREERS |
The mining industry creates wealth for ordinary Canadians directly by providing a wide range of jobs from laborers, to trades, to managers and professionals while additional jobs are created in the industries which support mining. Mining provides exciting opportunities for people to work locally in their own community or travel to other locations around the country or around the world.
Several groups involved in careers and career development will be exhibiting at Mining in Society. Post secondary institutions will describe their programs which can lead to a career in mining. Mining companies will be present to discuss general opportunities and a job fair will provide a listing of specific advertised openings.
Visit the university booths and learn about programs related to mining and exploration. Do not miss a visit to: Queens University, Laurentian University, McGillUniversity, Lassonde Institute, University of Toronto
