Program
Mining Rocks!
is centred around a comprehensive technical program with a limited number of concurrent sessions, to ensure all participants have an opportunity to hear and interact with the leaders of our industry. The new format with dynamic technical forums and sessions built on daily themes, is designed to promote stimulating debate on the issues challenging the industry. A professionally moderated Mine Managers Forum kicks off the program and leads into sessions on a range of technical and business issues.

Mining Investment Forum
Mining Rocks!
will be taking place in the heart of Canada’s financial markets. The Mining Investment Forum, a new feature this year, will bring those that manage financial resources together with those that manage natural resources. It will provide the investing public an insight into how professional investors value resource stocks. The Forum will have four sequential segments, focusing on Base Metals, Oil Sands, Precious Metals and then on Diamonds. The sessions will start with a panel discussion featuring leading Canadian portfolio managers, equity analysts and mining industry executives. Each panel discussion will be followed by a selected group of corporate presentations. Delegates and the general public will have the opportunity to understand how professional analysts and portfolio managers differentiate their valuations of mining companies and commodities. Admission to both the Mining Investment Forum and the Mining in Society Show is free!

This will be a fascinating show – interactive, educational, and exciting!

Trade Show and Exhibition
Open from Sunday evening through to Tuesday evening the Tradeshow and Exhibition will include mining equipment and technical service suppliers and contractors. It will also incorporate areas that focus on the professional/business service (legal, accounting, human resource, consulting) providers that all contribute to the success of a mining operation. The mining companies and investment/finance firms found in the Investor Centre area of the exhibit hall will provide both institutional and private investors the opportunity to obtain in-depth information on the operations and future prospects of a number of major mining firms.
