As a student, you can register to attend the conference for $95 with a valid student ID (i.e. an ID dated within 12 months of being enrolled in any college or university program). We also encourage students to register separately for the guided Learners Stream. For no additional fee, students may participate in the Learners Stream which offers unprecedented access to an enriched conference experience and includes unique employment and educational opportunities.

Students must register in advance to the Learners Stream and must attend a mandatory 6 hr introductory session on the Sunday before the conference. The introduction session will prepare each student to navigate, and essentially get the most out of the conference, based on each participant’s personal educational and employment interests and pursuits.

Students registered in the Learners Stream will have increased access to delegates, including more one-on-one time with conference speakers and industry leaders, which may segway into job opportunities and other meaningful connections for professional advancement.

The Learners Stream will also offer guided tours of the conference area and personal coaching sessions with Learners Stream Leaders aiming to make the conference experience even more memorable for participating students.

Following the conference, all students may continue their conference experience with access to an online portal where they may connect with their fellow conference attendees and refresh themselves on material discussed.

Every student who signs up to the online portal will have an opportunity to win a field trip to a fully operational mine.

Activities: 6 hr Sunday introductory session; one on one chats with lecture speakers; student-specific Learner’s Stream discussions; guided tour of the event; Online Portal Access; Participation in competition for field trip.

Dates: One mandatory Sunday introduction session for students enrolled in the Learner’s Stream. Otherwise -- normal conference dates.

Times: Times of conference, with 60-minute learners room sessions arranged concurrent with some lectures, otherwise regular lecture times will be attended.

Costs: $95 mandatory Conference Student Admission fee -- same cost for regular conference pass. The Learner Stream program is available at no additional charge for the first 70 students who register for this guided and enriched experience of the conference.

Maximum number of participants for each: Minimum 35 and Maximum 70

Housing: special student housing is being negotiated with Laurentian University. Exact details are TBD.
