A vision for integrated operations in Mining -
Looking at Mining through Integrated Operations
The mining industry is experiencing a state of flux from a market, business, and technology perspective. We have seen increase pressure on productivity, a volatile demand chain and production costs escalate. In this paper, IBM and Calibre Global come together to discuss how integrated operations paves an innovative way for mining companies to remain competitive, through cost reduction and productivity gains, in this new operating environment. In many ways, integrated operations may best define the future of the mining enterprise. It requires the incorporation of all facets of operations through consolidation of information, collaboration, smarter and leaner organizations, governance, workforce, visualization, and business model innovation.
Join Iain Thompson, Mining Industry Leader of IBM Canada and Matthew Coleman, Head of Industrial Technology for Calibre Global, in an exclusive session that draws on insights from Integrated Operations projects both inside and outside the Mining Industry. We will cover lessons learned and leading practices for implementing successful integrated operations programs gained from implementation experience with some of the largest resource companies in the world, including examples from global iron ore producers and large oil & gas companies.
