Launched last May in Toronto at the CIM Annual Convention, the Extractive Sector Multi-Stakeholder Dialoge Series aims at providing a safe and constructive space where the various stakeholders can engage in a dialogue, better understand one another and the key issues in the extractive sector. All stakeholders in the extractive sector (representatives of the industry, consultants, ministries, NGOs, international organizations, universities, communities, First Nations, associations) are welcome.
To ensure diversity, participants are assigned to specific roundtables where they will engage in facilitated roundtable discussions under the Chatham House Rule and in an informal “world café” format. They will engage in a first dialogue on mutual values to build a constructive basis. A second dialogue will focus on key concerns and challenges facing the extractive sector and of concern to all stakeholders. Facilitators assigned to each table will then share results with the group.
This session is free of charge.
