Event Detail

Join the Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue Series in Montreal. In this session, participants will engage in facilitated roundtable discussions with stakeholders from industry, government, various NGOs and First Nations.

The Series objectives are to increase stakeholders’ understanding of one another and of key issues in the extractive sector, to provide a constructive space to hold valuable conversations and to facilitate collaboration.

Held under Chatham House rules, participants will first build on mutual values to identify potential opportunities and priorities that can arise. A second dialogue will focus on key concerns and challenges facing the extractive sector and of concern to all stakeholders, such as roles and responsibilities in sustainability, economic development and peace building, or standards in sustainability reporting.

All stakeholders in the extractive sector are welcome to attend the dialogue session upon registering with full contact information by email to mgoulet@cim.org before August 1, 2013.

This session is free of charge, and is provided by CIM’s Environmental and Social Responsibility Society, in collaboration with the Centre for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility, and supported by CIM.
